Reflections Contest

Grayson won 1st place in the reflections contest he entered. The judges have nothing to do with our school and do not know the children at all. The theme was "Diversity Is...." He entered the photography division, with his personal camera that we gave him for his birthday last year. He took a picture of all of his Thomas Trains. He lined them all up on his baby blanked on the floor, layed on his stomach because he wanted to "be able to see their different faces". I told him he wasn't able to enter the contest until he could say the word "Diversity" (wish I had that on video- only took F o R e V e R!) and tell me what it means. He titled his work "We are all useful Engines...Big or Small"

Grayson accepting his award and learning his piece went on to district level (meant nothing to him- he already got his medal!)

He's not one for all the attention- but I DO promise he was happy! He LOVED his 1st place medal and wanted to sleep in it. Proud mom and Dad with him. (me...... 2 days over-due with Baby Layla... isn't she sweet to wait and let us go to Grayson's big evening!)

Jamey and I have been married for 9 years. We met in college, and he proposed to me there too... hence the name of our second son "Denton". I'm the maid,
laundress,
chef,
chauffeur,
grocery shopper,
train track assembler.
He's the bread winner,
anything electronic fixer/setter upper,
trash man,
dog carer,
horse & pig feeder
and my secret weapon.
He's my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and always puts us first.
He folds laundry and makes breakfast on the weekends! 
I think I'll keep him.
His Love to me is the icing on my cupcake.

Grayson is our larger than life 6 1/2 year old. He is a sweet, beautiful boy loving anything to do with trains or out-doors related. Grayson has handled his role as the big brother impressively well. He cares for his little brother ferociously. Looking through the world through Grayson's eyes is amazing... and hilarious at the same time. He made us all slow down to enjoy family first. He is our angel baby. He has a huge, deep-feeling heart. Is nurturing and funny is brillant, beautiful, a rule follower and loves music.
